Mid-century modern, also known as Miami Modern or MiMo

Mid-century modern, also known as Miami Modern or MiMo, sprang from a Post World War II building boom of exuberance that lasted nearly three decades from 1945-1972. Some described it as it lighthearted kitche, pop delirium or even doo-wop. Whatever the fanciful description, the tropical architectural detailing was often characterized by delta wings, fins, boomerangs, wildly cantered glass, sweeping and soaring concrete walls, extreme cantilevered roofs, stretched jet age arches, floating staircases, brise soleils and bean poles. - Credit BTHP

Hello Reed,

Thanks for the post, thought I'd follow it up. I'd be interested in your ideas about the Bonsai, I'll be posting my summer and autumn pics soon.

Nice place by the way, looks like a relaxed place to live.
